On our Secret Food Tour: San Francisco – Mission District, you’ll explore one of the city’s most vibrant neighborhoods, where every corner tells a story of migration, resilience, and creativity. The Mission has long been home to waves of immigrants—from Irish, German, and Italian to today’s thriving Latino community - each leaving their mark through food, murals, and culture.
We’ll start at a legendary taqueria to taste the iconic Mission-style burrito, a San Francisco staple. Then, you’ll sink your teeth into a quesabirria, rich with slow-cooked flavor and served with consommé for dipping. No visit to the Mission is complete without pan dulce, sourced from a beloved 65-year-old bakery.
Along the way, you’ll try mariquitas, Cuba’s crispy and addictive street snack, before ending with a visit to a local bean-to-bar chocolate maker (not Ghirardelli!) for a decadent finish. And, of course, you’ll also enjoy our Secret Dish, revealed only on the day.
